On December 29, 2025, a “Knowledge Contest” event was held for students of the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department to reinforce their knowledge in the field and create a fun learning environment. The event was presented by our lecturer Dr. Sedat TAŞ.
The program was attended by the Head of the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department, Associate Professor Savaş EVREN, faculty members of the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department, and students. The competition provided an environment that encouraged both academic knowledge sharing and increased social interaction among students.
Within the scope of the competition, questions were asked on topics related to gastronomy, such as regional cuisine, international cuisines, basic culinary knowledge, nutrition principles, and the history of gastronomy. At the end of the knowledge competition, which was held with great excitement and competition, the students who ranked were determined as follows:
1st place: Nurşen Çınar
2nd place: Hatice Kübra Dereli
3rd place: Betül Şentürk
The prizes were presented to the top-ranked students by the faculty members of the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts. Thanks were expressed to the faculty members who contributed to the event, the participating faculty members, and all the students who took part in the competition.
